• Average Lifespan: 200-210 human years.
• Average Height: 6'0"
• Characteristics: Violent, malicious, conquering. Similar to Bugs in their desire for war and carnage, but slightly more sophisticated about it. Noted for their ingenuity in weapons manufactoring.

Evolution

Having had a similar evolution to humans, the Adresc had to deal with many more threats early on, as they are physically not the top predators on Adresca. They seperated into clans, some peaceful and some warlike. One particular clan, the Xan'shi'tla'ra, known as the Corpse Walkers (human translation), was so powerful that they easily conquered the rest of them. They soon created modern civilization on their planet -- as the only species with higher intelligence -- and had scientists that figured out space flight, as well as space travel. This led to the conquering of many other planets; the Andrescan Empire, as it is commonly known, now encompasses thirty planets.

They have the same build and relative look as humans, but have larger reddish eyes, greenish-yellow tinged skin, and their hair is much more fibrous and spiky in texture. They are also more durable: even the weaker ones can take quite a physical beating before even feeling pain, and it takes twenty heavy bullets for them to even stop attacking, as Adrescans can go into beserking rages while fighting. Usually the rages are brought on by the first feeling of pain.

Adrescans are also much more predatory than humans, and, if raised with the doctrines of their homeworld, usually prefer their meat raw -- and fresh.

Homeland

Adresca is a hostile, swampy world with many, many predators and dangerous lifeforms. The Adrescans had to be very clever and resilient to evolve the way they did, and it perfectly explains their violent social and governmental practices. Though some Adrescans, like Agent Que of the Men In Black, are kind, these are Adrescans raised away from the homeworld -- the majority of them are noted for their unpleasant natures.

Language

Adrescan sounds, to human ears, like a cat hissing and spitting in a blender. They have a very large resonating cavity in their chests and can create a lot of bizarre noises. When in a beserking rage they become incoherent, known for loud screeching and screaming. It's no coincidence that most of the Men In Black calls them blender aliens.

Naming Traditions

If one can make heads or tails of their language, and manage to write it down on paper, the names are long. Xan'shi'tla'ra, the name of the defining clan of their history, is easily the shortest name for any individual or organization.
