 Agent Black (Takoda Cruice).

Basic Information.

  • Gender: Female
  • Race: Human
  • Height: 5'11"
  • Age: 34
  • Hair: Black
  • Eyes: Black
  • Profession: Agent of TIME
  • Title: Chief Agent
  • Birthday: December 1st
  • Word: Narrow
  • Heterosexual.

Characteristics.

  • Longest-lasting agent in the TIME business. Is their trainer for new recruits. Agents Red and Purple have apprenticed under her.
  • Of a gifted intelligence.
  • Not very social due to her long imerson in how people have screwed up her world.
  • Dry sense of humor.
  • Persistence incarnate, with the integrity of a hunting dog.
  • Has faced many otherworldly creatures: wights/poltergeists, sphinxes, Barney (a giant interpretation brought about by someone's nightmare), zombies, demons, dinosaurs.
  • Her signature twin pistols are named Truth and Madness; "both can kill you."
  • A lanky individual very much in shape and in her physical prime, of Indian descent. At least, until another ID disaster. She uses makeup to cover it, but across her left eye is a scar left by a procompsagnathus; this task is made easier by the fact that her eye itself was healed completely. Like the other agents, her wardrobe is color-coded: all black. She usually favors long black coats, sturdy boots, and tough jeans.

Family.

  • Nina Cruice (mother; deceased)
  • Toma Cruice (father)

History.

Takoda's considerable intelligence was uninspired as a child; she had poor grades, earned the disrespect of her father, and constantly used what wits she had to rob people of their money or steal cars. Her mother had died during childbirth. She was finally convicted of a charge at the age of 19, of stealing three cars, and would have been put to death (Emporer Alexander's penalty for criminals) if the Prime Minister had not intervened. He had talked to Takoda before the trial and knew she was smarter than she seemed -- and that she was utterly persistent, and overall did possess morality... even if it didn't show up very much.

Therefore, he pretended to execute her, when in reality bringing her into the fledgling TIME fold. She was the second agent recruited (after Green), and easily the youngest ever to date. She was given a much more rounded education and finally learned to use the gifted intellect she'd been born with, and was also trained in things like weapons, explosives, electronics, stunt driving, and fighter piloting (to name just a few).

On her first real mission, an ID user had given himself the power to manifest whatever creatures his imagination came up with; she had to fight a giant, horrifying interpretaton of Barney -- of all things -- before she was forced to kill the ID user, when he resisted coming back to TIME headquarters with her.

Agent Black is infamous for being put up against impossible odds, and winning.

Personality.

No-nonsense, dry, not very sociable. She's seen too many things in her time and it shows in her world-weary attitude. However, she is known for consistently catching people off-guard with sudden bright remarks, which has led TIME to believe that she suffers from bipolar disorder, although this never interferes with her work and it never gets to bad levels. Agent Black has no tolerance whatsoever with people who don't bother to reason their actions out before doing with them -- a trait that has come to her based on her interactions with ID users.

Likes/dislikes.

Has an intense fondness for nachos, anything with sugar in it, and animals in general. She also enjoys "industrial" music and has it constantly playing in her office. She dislikes flying as she has a healthy want of staying on the ground, although she's a very good pilot, and also dislikes anything to do with Indian food as she's tired of being stereotyped.

Fears.

After her career, not much. Dying alone, in a futile attempt to save the timeline, is probably at the top.
