History.
First daughter of Tomas and Vera Brant, Andrexa was very much the prodigal girl, able to do a great many things when she was young. Her ley power manifested early at the age of eight, heightening her reputation as a gifted child. She took great interest in music composition, dancing, and playing the piano. At school she became an accomplished journalist and writer, though she was never as great as her little sister, Charlotte, born three years after her. She had a great affection for her parents and her sister, though she was always trying to be better than Charlotte, to ensure that she would become Head of House at her parents' death. Knowing that female members of the family rarely were the Heads, because of marriage into other families, when Andrexa graduated she refused to marry -- even though she was the apple of many men's eyes.
She never approved of her sister's husband, Gregoire Verlaine, believing the family to be full of lunatics and psychopaths, but reluctantly she gave them her blessing when she saw how happy Charlotte and Gregoire were together. This blessing would not extend to Thierry and Sylvie, her nephew and niece, because she felt threatened by the immense power both of them were born with. (She continues, to this day, to be highly critical of Sylvie.)
When her parents passed away, she took over their duties with relish. Most thought she was far too ready and were suspicious about their deaths, but Tomas and Vera had passed away peacefully during the night, with no signs of violence or internal discord. (Sylvie Verlaine, already Head of the House of Verlaine, performed this autopsy for Council verification.) Andrexa quickly established a reputation as a gracious but ruthless Officer of the Council and Court; she did not stand for latecomers to meetings, and was famous for attempting to lock people out.
Personality.
Arrogant, passive-aggressive, 'gracious' and regal have all been words that people have described her with. Though she doesn't ever use outright hostile words, her presence has been known to put people on edge, and she has been accused of starting many fights. Sometimes, just for fun or because of boredom. She is a great debater, or prides herself on it. Overall she shows very little compassion for her family, referring only to Charlotte or her parents with affection; many theorize that she blames Sylvie for Charlotte's death, an idea that doesn't sit well with the Head of Verlaine. She treats nephew Thierry with complete scorn. All others, however, receive great consideration and care when they go to visit her -- she has been described as very attentive about her reputation. Her racism towards Normals, however, is a blemish to her reputation.
Likes/dislikes.
Likes dancing, fine cuisine, music, playing the piano, debating, and reading a good piece of literature. Dislikes everything to do with Normals and will proclaim this very loudly to everyone, and this includes modern Normal music. Does not play any music by Normal composers, only composers that came from Ley families.
Fears.
Has a very mocked phobia of mice.
