  • Hair: Blond
  • Eyes: Grey
  • Profession: Businessman
  • Title: CEO of Daniels Enterprises (father's company)

Characteristics.

  • Canine has two houses, one in London with his company, and one in California, where his wife lives. The arachnids love to tease him about this, probably out of envy for his vast personal funds.
  • He had no friend before Maverick, choosing to be a loner. However, meeting her convinced him to open up to people, and helped him become the businessman he is today. When the rift opened up between he and Maverick, she taunted him over this, calling him ungrateful.
  • His marriage has always been "questionable," but, at the very least, it seems functional.
  • Has panic attacks on a regular basis.
  • Pale and platinum blond, with grey eyes and a slightly hooked nose. He has a slightly overweight, lean frame that is clothed in the best suits money can buy, and wears his constantly-gleaming gold wedding band.

Family.

  • Cornelia Dunn (mother; deceased)
  • Richard Daniels (father; deceased)
  • Nell Fosterson (wife)

History.

He was born in Warrington, Cheshire, England. Canine’s mother, Cornelia slept with her professors to get ahead—she was promoted to co-head of a large electronics company before her superiors realized she had no idea what she was doing. While there, Cornelia met Canine’s father, then a married man, and they had a brief, torrid affair before she fled to America to escape her reputation. Canine grew up believing his father to be dead, and was a roudy punk when he met Maverick; the two quickly became best friends and, at his age of twenty, set up the beginnings of a criminal organization. Two years later, his mother died of a drug overdose, and his father came to see him, expressing remorse over his not being there. He persuaded Canine to come back to England and become the heir of his company; this would forever create a rift between he and Maverick, who saw his father and the company as what she and Canine had been fighting against. He turned out to be brilliant at managing the company, making enough money to eventually send some along to Maverick.

In his absense, the organization had grown into the beginnings of the Arachnid Network, and the money was well spent establishing a base of operations. He pledged his loyalty, again, to it, and Maverick let him become a co-head once more—although she had her eye on him, this time. His role became handling the funds, with Maverick handling the darker aspects of the planning and execution processes. He would never be able to fully patch up his mostly-shattered friendship.

Personality.

Canine is a nervous chameleon; deep down, under his thick veneer of confidence, he’s not at all pleased with the choices he’s made in his life. He can get along with anyone, adapt any personality facets he think will aid him in doing so, and will not feel remorse if he has to lie in the process. With his wife, the only person he feels fully comfortable with, he can relax and even laugh; none of Canine's colleagues have ever heard him laugh, just seen him smile.

Likes/dislikes.

Likes brandy, relaxation, being alone, fame and attention of the press, and making contacts. Dislikes entirely honest people, too much technology, intuition, destiny, and the supernatural.

Fears.

Death, torture, being completely honest, being found out for who he truly is.
