Characteristics.
- Fairly stable, for all of the fuss its creators went to to have it declared "defective."
- He fell in love with a fax machine—no joke. Cerdian was devastated when he was told that the relationship ‘could not be’. Other than that it also got attached to its maintenance person, Doctor Linda Howard. Though it loves to talk to people, it finds it hard to forge real friendships considering all of its emotions are programmed, which confuses it greatly.
- There is a type of electric charge that can be used to turn off all of the nanobots; that’s the way, and only way for the most part, to defeat Cerdian if you're stuck, for some reason, fighting him.
- Almost never in the same physical form as it was the last time. Cerdian does, however, seem to favor tall boots and long hands. It can change every tiny detail about his appearance, and even species, due to what it is. But it’s limited by its nanobot swarm—the largest animal it can take on is a horse.
Family.
History.
Cerdian was created by the Hadonov Corporation, to be a multi-purpose creature. For the most part he was comissioned by the military for infiltration, though he was never fully programmed and trained in this. The people were nice enough to him, treating him like a human being, but Cerdian was extremely confused at the concept of having been ‘created’ rather than born—due to his human programming. He was often heard to be saying that he wished he’d never been created in the first place, which understandably worried his creators, who feared he was a so-called ‘defective’ product; the military would certainly not like a very depressed new recruit. In the end, Cerdian convinced the one he was closest to, the woman who tended to him most, to help him escape the facility into the real world. It wasn’t easy, and it got Linda Howard fired for the trouble, but Cerdian managed it due to what he’d been designed for.
Personality.
Flippant and carefree for the most part, and very confident. Cerdian can forget to look before hit leaps, though, metaphorically speaking, and can get into trouble in the conversation point of view. It doesn’t think about what it’s saying, either. Its vocabulary is sometimes history-textbook, sometimes surfer-dude; it depends on his mood.
Likes/dislikes.
Likes fellow machines and electronics, alcohol, jokes and humor, car racing (watching it). Dislikes violence, conflict, hurting peoples’ feelings, water and other such liquids, even so much as talking about viruses.
Fears.
It has an aversion, or heavy dislike, to guns, but they can’t hurt it. It also has a dislike for water.
