Characteristics.

  • Exists in the Jurassic Park universe.
  • Cobrax was benefitted in one way by the human genes added to his own. One, his intelligence was bumped up to a little above the average dilophosaurus. However, Ramosa also tampered with the toxicity of his venom, making it even more potent and painful for Cobrax’s prey.
  • Also officially titled: "Project EEM (Experimental Embryo Manipulation), Subject 1.8: Cobrax."
  • Cobrax appears like any other Dilophosaurus on Isla Sorna, except for the fact that his twin ridges, on the top of his head, are veined with steel, and his foreclaws are coated with it.

Family.

  • Specifically created by geneticist Adrian Ramosa.

History.

As 1.9 never survived, Cobrax is the last of the 1.0 series before they moved on the less-successful 2.0 series. InGen was experimenting with adding human genes to dinosaur embryos, which only a few people knew about—John Hammond excluded. It was an academic bet between Adrian Ramosa and Clive Deacon, two gifted but misguided geneticists. Other than them, only Kari Wolfe, the game warden of Isla Sorna, knew about it; they had told her because of her loyalty, as Deacon and Ramosa were good friends of hers; they knew she wouldn’t squeal on them. Dilophosaurs like Cobrax made up the 1.0 series before they moved onto Velociraptor embryos for the 2.0; the ‘academic bet’ was called off before 3.0.

Personality.

Curious and playful, although cautious in enviorments not immediately natural, Cobrax is not very easily provoked to violence when he isn’t hungry. When hungry, however, he becomes single-minded in his desire to feed.

Likes/dislikes.

Likes sunlight, feeding, being petted, being talked to. Dislikes concrete, metal, tasers, halters, rope, cages.

Fears.

Cages and tasers.
