Dirge.

One half of the world is in a drug-induced haze, ridiculously controlled by the government because they're never sober enough to know otherwise. The other is shrouded in dark, a cold hell where it always snows, watched over by the remnants of that particular government, which fell to the drug lords and the Resistence.

Twenty years before the Dystopian's fall to the Resistence, they were working on secret projects to help strike fear into the hearts of their rebellious citizens, as well as their worldwide enemies. They titled these experiments after horror creatures from ancient lore, building on their already dubious reputation as a worldwide power. These experiments were so powerful that the fragmented powers that were turned against them united, briefly, in order to more quickly bring about their downfall -- before the experiments killed them. And so, thanks to world help and the Resistence, they fell. Some of the monsters still roam, others are locked into bunkers until they die.

It's a long way to fall.
