• Pyromaniac. Also has mild aspects of Asperger's Syndrome, in that she is interested in science and very little else, although she can be persuaded to enjoy other things too (sports, for one thing, and drinking; an avid "footie"/soccer fan).

• As the Dragonfly, armed with two "gun"-like creations that can be either flamethrowers or shoot "pucks" that are like highly-concentrated thermal grenades. Her attire on these outings is black, with an insect-like helmet and certain parts made out of metal so that she can effectively fight hand-to-hand, being somewhat physically weak.
• Has a cat she rescued from being experimented on illegally, a black tabby she named Igno (short for Ignoramus; he's not very intelligent).

History.

The heir of an "old money" family, the Mars fortune was built up -- and has been further built up -- by real estate and stocks, the real estate mostly concerning the Boston area, where the Mars family mansion is. Anouk was raised to walk in her father's footsteps, and stepped into them gracefully when he died of a heart attack at the age of 67, when she was 24 years old herself. Bored with the day-in, day-out of most of the Mars-owned businesses, she keeps effective management below her, hiring good people to take care of everything for her. The one thing she keeps track of herself is the department of her company that handles chemical engineering, which is the most interesting facet for her.

When she was 26, her fathers' old business rival, Nehemiah Johnson, ran a disgraceful campaign against her company and caused her to lose a lot of money; his campaign focused on her age and two years of experience, basically calling her incompetent. Sufficiently angered, and with a fiery enough personality as it was, Anouk went underground -- so that her mother would never find out -- and sabotaged three of Johnson's company buildings, using a powerful pair of guns -- created herself -- that fired what were basically small thermal grenades. She called herself the Dragonfly, digging up dirt on Johnson's less-than-morally-square operations in South America; she left this message in plain sight and the media caught onto it like vultures, as she'd anticipated.

Johnson's company went down in flames, as it were, from that point on. To cover her tracks further, Anouk, or Dragonfly, posed her alter ego as a disgruntled ex-employee of Johnson's. Unbeknownst to either herself or Johnson, the employee had been killed by mafia a month earlier -- but the mafia had been so good at their job that no one had noticed.

The Dragonfly identity didn't go away after that crisis; excited by exacting that much change just overnight, she kept it up, targetting other companies that were her rivals. She also targetted companies who were guilty of animal abuse, hiring underage or illegal workers, or companies that had slighted her father in the past.

After her father's death, she is responsible for her mother's welfare, and the two often go to plays, operas, movie openings, and such. Adriena Mars receives a healthy sum from her daughter every month.

Personality.

When fully relaxed, Dragonfly has a very playful and impish personality. This goes away somewhat when she's in CEO Mode, becoming serious and completely focused on the task at hand. Both facets have a youthful enthusiasm, seeking out new inventions and theories constantly.

Likes/dislikes.

Likes science, fire, heat, alcohol, cats/animals, sports, new information, the internet, and techno music. Dislikes religion (her parents were fanatically Catholic), anything labelled "girly" (gets teased too much about being a woman in her industry), animal abuse, and ignorance.
