 Edward Rothstein.

Basic Information.

  • Gender: Male
  • Race: Originally human (now a cat)
  • Height: See race; small cat
  • Age: 201 (in mentality, 31)
  • Hair: White
  • Eyes: Green
  • Profession: Scholar / Writer
  • Title: Heir of the Rothstein Estate
  • Birthday: December 24th (Capricorn)
  • Word: Informative
  • Heterosexual.

Characteristics.

  • Sane and stable, in contrast to most of the people around him.
  • In cat form, Edward is perfectly capable of talking, though it's with cat lungs so he's fairly quiet. He has an impeccable German accent.
  • Was turned into a white cat with pale green eyes (human eyes, not cat slit), by his father. Has a distinctive scar across his face, even in cat form, that extends from the center corner of his left eye, over his nose, and to the right corner of his mouth. Before the change, Edward had elegant dark brown hair and the same green eyes; he was taunted for being skinny and slender, when his schoolmates were all fairly formidable. Even with his cat eyes, he sometimes needs little makeshift glasses in order to read fine print.

Family.

  • Malium Rothstein (father)
  • Katarina Rothstein (sister)

History.

Born in Zollzange, Germany. Edward, being the son of privelidge, was originally going to be married off and have his own family at the mere age of nineteen. He was engaged to a girl at the age of nine, whether he wanted to or not. But his would-be bride, Fantasia Prohasky, became ill during her eighteenth winter and died. Despite his disgruntled feelings about arranged marriages, he’d had real feelings for Fantasia, and when she died he declared that he would never marry. His father never tried, sensing his son’s stubbornness.

Personality.

Studious and unabashed, Edward is a little pretentious, but only because of being trapped in for so long—and correcting his sister all of the time. He’s not afraid of interrupting anyone’s conversation, but is generally very proper. He’s also taken on the catlike mentality of “I never make mistakes,” which his sister loves to tease him about. Functionally, Edward is a veritable mine of information, as he’s read every book in his father’s grand library at least three times. He’s naturally very curious, even before he was a cat.

Likes/dislikes.

Likes reading, correcting others, relaxing in the sun, intellectual conversations. Dislikes incorrect information, cold weather, being hassled.

Fears.

Death.
