Characteristics.

History.

 Before becoming an agent of the Arachnid Network, Genesis was studying to be a doctor—specifically, an ER doctor. He was shy a few months’ worth of tests when he joined the Network, so he’s fully-qualified other than not having a liscense, but he’s faced so many injuries with his Network that it doesn’t matter. Genesis’ family life was fairly happy and unremarkable, and at twenty he moved away from Otter to New York, where he would begin his studies. Four years later, as he was wrapping his fateful doctor training, his family stopped talking to him, and when he drove home to see what was wrong, they were gone—no one in the community knew what had happened to them, there was only an empty house. Stricken by depression at this sudden turn of fate, Genesis abandoned school, suddenly uncertain if he truly wanted to be a doctor or not, though his teachers tried to sway him. He met Sidewinder, already an Arachnid, and decided to join the Network on the condition that they also help him find his family.

Genesis later discovered his family had been sentenced to death by a crime lord, because of an indebted father. The crime lord, Card, was working with the Network on small-scale things (though he didn’t know it), and Genesis nearly left the Network when he discovered it. He later tracked down and had his revenge on Card with the aid of his friends, crippling the man’s criminal network, but not killing him.

Personality.

Genesis is incredibly optimistic and good-spirited. He likes to crack jokes, and poke fun at friends, to help mask his lingering problems with depression. Contrary to most peoples’ perceptions, however, he does have a serious side; when serious, he speaks slowly, every word calculated. Maverick often works out plans with him because of his thoughtful, thorough nature when he’s in such a mood.

Likes/dislikes.

Likes music (techno in particular), medical books and journals, alcoholic drinks, traveling, playing his classical guitar. Dislikes the ocean, most sports, horror books/movies, talking about his family.

Fears.

Hydrophobic; although he takes showers, he will not swim.
