The Collateral Damage Syndrome

2150. A training period goes wrong, for the millionth time, for Agent Que of the Men In Black. Having returned not too long ago from a galactic relations stunt that turned into involvement in an alien war, Que is dealing with shell shock. She's saddled with a new apprentice, Agent N, and is challenged by the head of the organization, Gee, to salvage her reputation as the "best of the best." Enn, a clumsy girl who had no future or past, makes this difficult for her. And all the while, a plot is going down in New York to turn Earth into a feeding ground for the Adrescan Empire.

• Agent Q(ue) - A top agent of the Men In Black, who suffers from both shell shock and "alienation," due to the fact that she's the only currently operating alien agent. Intelligent, quick-thinking, and regrettably forgetful.
• Agent N (Enn) - A new recruit who originally wanted to apprentice under Que because of her previous field reputation; she gives her superior the benefit of her doubt. Her common sense, good memory and honesty make her the perfect foil for Que.
• Gee - Current head of the MIB. He's always tired and short-tempered. Enn gives him the name "Agent Cranky Pants." But he understands most of intergalactic politics, as well as the politics on Earth.
