Basic Information.

  • Gender: Female
  • Race: Adresc
  • Height: 5'9"
  • Age: 30 (around 18 in Adresc years/time)
  • Hair: Brown
  • Eyes: Green
  • Profession: Men In Black agent.
  • Title: Q
  • Birthday: Unknown.
  • Word: Jittery.
  • Asexual. (Or at least, not attracted to humans.)

Characteristics.

  • As an Adrescan, her real appearance would not be cohesive with field work at all, and so she wears a dampening device that "smoothes over" some of her more troubling features.
  • Wears nearly all standard-issue attire except for shoes; she wears knee-high black leather boots, more comfortable than any other shoes, which is a leftover from her war experiences.
  • Real name was Qoil'are'gne'kye'ai, discovered just before all of her existence was erased by her race.

Family.

  • Unknown parents, high-profile before the Adrescan Empire denounced and erased their existence from all files.
  • Sees Gee as a father figure.

History.

The child of Adrescan scientists, who were on a secret and highly illegal assignment to Earth when they experienced problems with their spacecraft. They, and Que, crash-landed in the Andes. By the time the Men In Black found them, the parents had died of cold, and their daughter was almost that way herself. The MIB warmed her back up and nursed her back to health. When they approached the Adrescan Empire to take her back, the Empire denounced all knowledge of the scientists' existence and assignment; as a result, Que was left high and dry with no parents and nowhere to go. The then-young Gee, new leader of the MIB, decided to keep Que with them and the organization as a whole raised her.

Raised away from the violent doctrines of her species, Que grew up with a human personality, her only throwback to being an Adrescan recognized as a shorter temper than most. She came to recognize Gee as a father figure, which he found highly uncomfortable at first and then later grew into. Intelligent, savvy with all of the rules, and with a thirst to prove herself as better than her species, Que constantly asked to be a field agent. When Gee was approached by galactic relations as saying that they needed to branch out to look more "friendly," Que was the obvious pick as the first alien MIB.

After a relatively uneventful training period, Que quickly picked up a reputation as a remarkable agent. She was partnered with the most savvy agent of the time, Effe, and the two became downright legendary. She had begun to think of Effe as a kind of big brother, in fact, and was extremely depressed when he decided it was time for him to settle down into retirement. This depression lasted for a year, and Gee was forced to take action when she stopped showing interest in her work, an extremely strange thing to see considering her past. He told her that they needed a liasion to a planet that was neogotiating with the Adrescan Empire to join its ranks, offering her the assignment; she was excited to go there, without a partner, and assist the process.

Not two human weeks into the assignment, the Adrescans got impatient and decided to just plain invade and conquer the planet in question, Romersa. Que was caught in the crossfire, unable to get out when the planet was seperated from the rest of the galaxy. She fought for the Romersians, becoming a dedicated but confused soldier, dreading if or when her appearance dampener would break -- if she was discovered to be Adrescan, she would most definitely be killed. It was a whole two human months before the MIB got her out of there, and the planet was conquered soon after.

When she returned to Earth, she was suffering extreme shell shock, and put into therapy until she worked through the hardest things that would be dangerous for her and others on the job. Despite Gee's guilt, she didn't blame him for the experience. Regressions, even after therapy, were very common; people learned to announce their presence loudly, in case they startled her. She was put in charge of training new recruits, who were all very excited to be learning from the legend, unaware of her condition. One by one, the training periods failed in some fashion, and two of the recruits died. Que fell into a deeper depression than before.

Personality.

Sarcastic sense of humor and a cynical outlook, but with a pronounced enthusiasm for intergalactic sports. Que is often termed a nonsequitor, as parts of her personality conflict. For example, she has a cynical outlook, but indulges her free time only in movies with happy endings. Another giant part of her personality is a problem with chronic lying. Often she will deny something in front of her several times before admitting that it's there, and will have no explanation for why she did lie; this particular trait emerged after the Romersian-Adrescan war.

Likes/dislikes.

Likes happy movies, good books, heavy metal music, and (in general) her job. Dislikes people who are slow (in any way), depressing movies, and fast food.

Fears.

Has a healthy fear of Adrescan stinging gas.
