Characteristics.

• She is the only Chiriath to have created other beings, due to her various titles in life. Her creation is Lethe, a creature with a singular mind who occupies two bodies, that of black snakes that usually wrap around her wrists like a fashion accessory. They're poisonous, and can change size, capable of growing bigger than a car.
• Her stint as the ruler of Hell, before it was taken over by Lucifer and after Hades left, meant that she made friends with -- and has an ally in -- Cerberus, who now follows her around. He takes the form of a large, but still rather normal-sized, brown dog who looks like a cross between a golden retriever and a german shepherd. His true form is giant, with black fur and his normal three heads.
• Samael's method of fighting is hurling fiery blasts that will either burn through or knock back her opponents. She has her sword, given to her from her time as an archangel, but prefers not to fight with it; when she does, it's best not to engage her.
• Typically, she has three forms:
  • Her "true form" is that of a 30 ft. tall komodo dragon-like lizard, silver-green with black eyes. She can breathe fire in this form, and can also disappear at will.
  • In her more "celestial"-like form, the one she used for her various holy (and unholy) stints, she has long black hair, powder-blue eyes, and pure white skin. She usually wears a tangle of black clothes, draping around her with lots of buckles and straps, and buckled boots with a chain and lock wrapped around each one. Through sheer willpower, her feathered wings have survived, though they have turned slowly black themselves; they have the eerie ability to suck a small amount of light out of the surroundings.
  • Her "final" form is one she uses to blend in with mortal humans. Appearing fair-skinned and with her black hair and blue eyes, she typically wears a black dress shirt, knee-length black coat, a white satin tie, thin grey trousers and high-heeled black boots. She is usually seen smoking, although she lacks the cough or breath of a smoker (nicely.)
• She has distinct control over people who are angry, or get angry easily, being the "embodiment" of wrath. She can also decay mortals, even currently living mortals, to powder if she so wishes.

History.

Samael was created by the Ageless named Sevision, to keep an eye on the mortal sentient races of the universe. Police them, basically, and control various aspects of their lives. Samael became especially interested in Brimstone’s planet, Earth, because of the human race; she sensed that their creation was a mistake for their planet. Brimstone allowed her in as one of the angels, but her fellow angels never really trusted her, as she was a great deal more powerful than them by simple nature of her creation. She eventually went on to run hell for a while, when the job was open, and then slowly moved on to regain her independent work.

At some point during her time on the various Earths, she discovered Riley Cowell, and made the mortal her "servant" for purposes of getting a few things done efficiently. Ignoring the chain of power she upped the woman from "gifted" to "immortal," so that she wouldn't have to purposefully raise her every time she died. She also ignored that chain again -- still without consequences from the Lifeless -- to "enlighten" a komodo dragon and make it human, calling the creature Aralyn, who soon escaped her control -- to her chagrin.

Personality.

Smooth, cool, aloof. Samael doesn’t really like talking; she finds it a very crude way of communicating and, as such, doesn’t do it very often although she understands it’s the only way a human will ever comprehend her. Samael typically shows little emotion in general, and when she does show it, it’s usually scorn or amusement. She does, however, occasionally get very very angry, and as Samael is the embodiment of wrath (and decay), this is generally not pleasant for those involved.

Relationships with other creatures.

Among the Chiriath, she is infamous with the "knowing mortals" (and even the Lifeless) for being the least forgiving and not the one to plea to if such a thing were necessary; as the one with the least friendly reputation, Chaos and Guardian often make her speak for them when needed.

Likes/dislikes.

Likes silence, the timeline, her family, Hell, demons, people who can see the dead, Cerberus, decay. Dislikes mortals, humans, betrayal and backstabbing, empty peace.

Fears.

Remiel one-upping her, although this can't really be called a "fear." More like a "healthy dread."
