The Resistence.

In the Dirge universe, the resistence started out a rebellious street gang that grew to considerable size, and, fed up with their government, they reformed themselves as the self-entitled Resistence to overthrow it. One of the original founding members was Variel Conner's brother. Their ranking is based off of various mythological-religious creatures; most of the members are fanatically religious.

The current head of the Resistence is Nycht Rothen. After they overthrew the government, the original three founding leaders were assassinated by snipers that were never found, thought to be agents of the Republic. The Resistence took over the country, but it's more of an anarchy than anything else. The survivors of the civil war there are, mostly, on their own (unless it's trouble with the Republic, of course.)
